Two weeks ago my friends and I went to Warsaw. It was a school trip and we wanted to see the city. We had already seen the points of interest and we enjoyed our free time. We were walking past a large shopping centre and wanted to find one hobbyist shop, so we asked two girls where it was. They told us that it was not far away, but it was difficult to find so they could help us. I told them where we were from and that we were eighteen, a little older than them. We went to a café and ordered fancy ice creams. We talked about our hobbies and interests and it came out that all of us liked playing darts. We chose a club without smokers or gamblers and with an electronic board.

We enjoyed our game; we had soft drinks and lemon sorbet. I tried to teach Iola, whose name I liked as much as her face and figure, to throw the darts properly, just to hit the bull's eye. When I touched her hand I almost had an electric shock. I knew that it was the girl for me. Her reaction was very much like mine, so I hugged her and told to stop playing for a while and try again later. Rob and Anya went to the other part of the game club and we were left alone. Iola looked deeply in my eyes and I kissed her. I saw she liked it, so I hugged her and we just stood there in silence for a long while looking each other in the eyes. We didn't have to talk to understand our meaning. Then Rob and Anya came back, so we started the game, which I let Iola win this time. Then our free time was over, as we had to come back to my home town. Before we left, I told Iola that I loved her and asked if she would be my girlfriend. Of course we exchanged our mobile numbers and the girls followed us to the Central Station where our train to Krakow was waiting. Iola waved me goodbye and I started my journey, leaving her with tears in her eyes, which was a very moving moment. Luckily, we remembered to exchange our mobile numbers.

We rang each other up and wrote messages every day and I really could not forget Iola. I knew that it was love at first sight and I really missed Iola because I saw her everywhere, as if each girl was her.

I could not wait till summer and then Iola came to Krakow, where she stopped on the way south. I told her a walking tour would be a good idea, so we went to the mountains together. We planned the Alps, but she liked warm baths in Slovakia, so we stayed there and enjoyed them very much because that summer the weather was horrible and it rained all the time. Evenings were nice, though, and we went for long walks, enjoying our company.

On the way to Warsaw Iola wanted to stay in Krakow for two days because Anya was coming back from Vienna by car with her new boyfriend and sent Iola a message. They were going to drive to Warsaw together and I was going to join Iola in two days for the last week of July. We kissed and hugged and she left for Warsaw. When I phoned her in the evening, there was no answer. I phoned her parents and learned that she and her friends had an accident. Anya was killed, her boyfriend Harry was unconscious, and Iola was unconscious, too. I went to Warsaw, I could see her only through a glass door, as visiting patients was forbidden there. I had to come back to my city and after a week I learned that she regained consciousness, but could not remember anything and had to learn everything back. I went to see her, but she did not recognize me. After two months she went to a health resort and stayed there for another two months. Then she and Harry came to see me in Krakow and she introduced him to me. She told he was her boyfriend. Then she told she was sorry for Anya and hoped I would recover from the shock. This time I did not understand anything, she was totally mixed up! And why did she call me Harry? Suddenly, I understood everything. The real Harry was a liar and it was his manipulation. I told him to explain everything, but he was absent-minded and did not follow me.

I phoned Iola's mother and told that something was going wrong. She told me that Iola and Harry had escaped from the insane asylum. Moreover, Harry was in perfect health, but simulated a psychosis to avoid responsibility for the accident. She was mistaken. Serious injuries that Harry and Iola had suffered in the accident caused their temporary insanity. Nobody knew how long they would recover, but it could take several years. I called an ambulance and they were taken back home.

When I graduate from school, I will study medicine and work hard to find out how to regain my real and true love.

I am afraid, though, that Harry will have to stay where he is now, anyway.
