They have known each other very well. They have been friends since ages. They attend always the same class, when they went to the secondary school. What is more, they had similar interests and hobbies. Among them there was sailing. They used to call it "the most wonderful thing a man can do". They began sailing in the first class of the secondary school. When they were studying they were the best sailing crew in Poland. For couple of years everything seems to be very good and they were the winners of many races. When they graduated the studies, they decided to take part in the biggest race in the world - in the Australian race. Just the same participation in this race is considered as the greatest prestige. But now everything was changed.

They were lying on the sea shore. They were breathing heavily. They had thanked God that they were still alive. They could see the remnants of their boat. Their huge wooden yacht was completely damaged. Their precious boat, which they had afforded to buy couple year ago, was swimming on the surface of the water. However, they weren't aware what had really happened. They started to wonder what they had to do and whether they would survive.

Unfortunately, this awful rainstorm wasn't going to go away. Everything was getting worse when it started to be cold. They were still lying without any move on the shore and it was getting dark. Although their clothes were "waterproof", in these extremely bad weather conditions they were completely wet. Suddenly he whispered: "Let's stand up and go". Then he added: "We should find the shelter. We should rescue ourselves and not to be flushed back into the sea!". She couldn't say any words. She was too tired to stand up. She could only lie down and she didn't move. It seemed that her energy had disappeared. She was extremely tired of this roaring sea and the fight she had to put up with it. The voice inside her told her that she had to stand up and fight against the adversities. If she didn't do so, they probably would die. She thought that they were too young to die in such an extremely place. "Where are we?" she asked him. "There's no time to explain. I'll tell you later. Let's move!". He managed to grab her with his hand and then she stood up. They had to run as far form the sea as they could. After some steps they felt different. They heard some strange noises and through the raindrops they could see some silhouettes. "What's that?" she quietly asked him. She was afraid. They felt that something was completely wrong. He couldn't answer. They were completely surprised. They were standing and watching at the silhouettes that were closer and closer. Both of them were frightened. They didn't know what to do. It was very difficult to see something in that pour rain. They could hear the footsteps were closer and closer. It seemed that there was no escape. "What can we do?" she decided to ask him. "We should wait!" and he answered her. They grasped each other hand and waited…. The footsteps were closer and closer…
