It happened when I was in Tokyo. I was sitting in an armchair and reading when I felt that the ground started trembling. The window panes were also shaking. For a moment I thought that a very huge and heavy car is driving nearby but then I understood it was an earthquake. I was not very frightened, but rather excited. Then Mrs Tanaka ran into the room, shouting: "Hold the TV set!" I obeyed, thinking that she doesn't want the TV set to fall into pieces. Later she told me that she did not mean the TV, but an ikebana that was standing on it. After a few minutes it all finished. I was a bit disappointed that the earthquake was such a small one. But Mrs Tanaka told me that those people who experience a "small" earthquake are disappointed, but those who experience a strong one, wish they had never experienced it.
