Eating is an important part of our life. It isn't only the way in which we can fulfill our energetic demands, but something more. It is a big part of culture cultivated by many years and the old tradition. That's why there are so many varied kinds of eating habits and so many cuisines from different parts of the world.

Polish cuisine has something in common with other European cuisines. We are used to having three times a day. Our cuisine is full of meat, fat, potatoes. Often we eat too late at night and consume the unhealthy food like fatty meat and too much carbohydrate. Recently, Polish people eat a lot of fast food, crisps, chips and drink Cola-Cola. Our traditional cuisine isn't dieting. Ham, sausages and every kind of meat can be fatty and unhealthy.

In Britain, on the other hand, most of people have cereal with milk for breakfast. They also like toast with marmalade, jam or honey. Traditionally, they drink tea. Lunch is a quick meal for them. For lunch many people have snacks or sandwiches in a bar or pubs. Children receive a hot meal during the classes. Some people like to have the afternoon tea with cakes. The supper is a main meal for most of the British. They usually have it between 6 and 8 and it is often the a possibility to spend some time with the whole family. On Sundays many families go to the restaurants. They order roast meat with potatoes and vegetables.
