In my report, I am going to tell a few things about the animals as pets. I prepared and organized the survey concerning the matter of keeping animals as pets. I questioned 60 students from my school and now I am going to present the results.
RESULTS
70 per cent of the students said that they have their own animal at home. Half of them have dogs and nineteen students have cats. 15 questioned students keep tortoises, rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles and other small animals as pets.
Reasons for keeping animals
Most people mentioned, that animals may be helpful, when you are stressed and nervous. 90 per cent of the students claimed, that they wanted to have pets to be more cheerful and happier.
The past
Only 5 per cent of the people I questioned admitted that their families had pets when they were young kids. It seems to me that most parents bought their children pets as presents for some special occasion.
Conclusions
Summing up, in my opinion the rising rate of people having animals as pets at their homes is caused by the fact that more and more people these days feel very unhappy. The animal can make good friend and therefore make people feel better.
