Some of us believe that people are not the only intelligent creatures living in the universe. There have been numerous theories claiming that there can be life on other planets. Most of us know about such beings from the movies and cartoons. They are said to be green creatures with big bright eyes. They usually have no hair and they travel in space by the ships similar to the discs. There are many people, who say that they have met the UFO.
Is there a scientific explanation for the existence of other creatures in space? The anthropologists claim that UFO is the equivalent of the mythical demons and angels. Nowadays people don't want to listen about angels and they are more prone to believe in creatures from different planets. The anthropological theory claims that the UFO is merely an illusion, a suggestion which is supported by the will to explain the unusual phenomenon.
Some people say that those, who claim that they have seen the UFO are simply liars. One farmer from New Mexico said that he discovered the remains of some flying object near to his house. At first it was said to be a UFO, but after many years the government of the USA announced that that object was used by the government in the 'Cold War'. It took off from the nuclear bas in the US and exploded soon after because of some technological mistakes.
In Poland a few years before there was a rumor that the UFO makes some traces in the fields in summer. However, there is no proof for this hypothesis as well. Most of such traces are caused by the circulation of air and by rain.
Furthermore some people say that all the stories about the UFO are created by some to make money. If you claim that the UFO comes to the field next to your house, there will be hundreds of others who may want to see it.
Summing up, we cannot find any good proof of the existence of the UFO. However, it is also difficult to prove that there are no such creatures.
When we talk about ghost, we usually find less people believing in them. Ghosts are the spirits of the dead people, they are not material and that is why it is even more difficult to prove their existence. Contemporary world is becoming more and more materialistic and skeptic about unnatural phenomena.
I think that we should not deny the existence of life other than ours. People have always believed in the life of immaterial things, creatures and energies. The 'other world' is part of the metaphysics. It helps us explain the unknown and irrational things happening in the world. Furthermore, if we believe in God and angels, we should also believe that the world is not only what we see and what we can get to know.
