In my opinion the job of a war correspondent is at the same time very interesting and dangerous. It has many advantages and disadvantages.
The main advantages of this work is that such person gives the others information about what happens in the place, where war is conducted. He can tell, how many people get killed or injured and how the general situation looks like. Moreover, a war correspondent takes pictures and makes film materials to show the world the real side of the war. In my opinion the good correspondent ought to be sympathetic and compassionate towards the innocent people, who take part in the war unwillingly.
The basic disadvantage of such job is the constant risk. A correspondent can never feel safe. He might get injured or even killed. Taking part in a war is always dangerous, because it may badly influence our psyches. Many people get mentally ill after being at war. A person, who becomes a correspondent at the war makes his/her family live in permanent fear. Moreover, he/she has to leave the families for some period of time. We know that it happens that the correspondents get kidnapped by the terrorist, which is additional danger of this kind of work.
All in all, a job of work correspondent is exciting, but the risk is too big. I would not like to work in this way.
