Nowadays watching TV is general entertainment for young and old people. The difference between them is that old person is able to differ the real world from fiction and children seem not to have that kind of ability. That is why violence in TV is concidered as a problem especially for children.
Violence is everywhere, on the streets, in schools, in homes. It is good for children to know that something like violence exists but they should know that it is wrong. TV is very harmful because it shows many aspects of violence when it is unnecessary. Children have got a lot violence in their cartoons, movies and computer games. The programs which contain scenes with violence are much more popular as they have more interesting spurs. After such action on the TV screen children are unable to come back to stories without fights, murders and shooting.
Moreover they are not able to distinct the difference between real world and films. If in TV, which shows the scenes from the present times, children see that violence is a good way of solving troubles, it means that it will also be good in real world. They can notice with ease that by force you can win the game or their favourite character can destroy his enemy. It all causes not only agression among them but also passivity on somebodys harms. Children start to think that violence is good and only way of solving their problems. It is easier to kick somebody than help him.
Another thing is that some of the children may feel scared and frightened. They are too sensitive for those kinds of spurs. The violent movie or game may cause bad dreams and nightmares. It may even lead to the emotional disturbes. On the other hand the cruel scens may cause that children will be afraid to walk out. They will be afraid to go to school, to the backyard, etc..
Finally, I think that we won't change the TV and cartoons. The children will be exposed to the violence but here comes the important part of parents. They should talk with their child and explain why using force is not a good solution of problems. Parents should teach their children how to distinct real world from fiction.
