It happened on the summer day when thirty-two-years old man decided to buy a lottery ticket. His name was Jack Johnson and he lived in London. He was unemployed and her wife provide for the whole family. The next evening Jack checked his lottery numbers and to his surprise every number passed. He had put on all these seven numbers. Jack seemed to be so shocked and surprised! He hadn't won anything before that day! He had been always unlucky. Now everything would change. When he told his family about the winnings, they looked very surprised. They couldn't believe. They all were so excited. What a surprise!
That evening Jack informed all their family and friends. They started to plan what they were going to do with the whole sum of money. They wanted to take a trip around the world, buy a new house and pay the children studies. They seemed to be so lucky!
The next day Jack took a taxi to go to the city centre to receive the winnings. The whole family was waiting for him patiently, he didn't return! They called every hospital in town, because they were worried that something bad had happened, but they failed to find him.
His wife still believed that he would come back and she was waiting patiently. One morning when she got up, she read a letter for her. It was horrible news and suddenly she started to cry. In this letter Jack wrote:
"Dear Kate
I am aware that you are still waiting for me, but I have decided to break off with you. I'm sorry. I want to be unemployed for my whole life and I want to be free!!!
So goodbye"
After a couple of years she heard that Jack had left the country and he lived in the North America. For him there were things more important than the family. Money takes possession of him. I wonder if Jack is happy now.
