The story happened in 1972. Julia Koepke, a sixteen-year-old girl left Lima with her mother. They were flaying to Pucallpa, the other Peru's town, to visit Julia`s father and spend Christmas there. After forty minutes of flaying the storm began and the plane crashed. All the passengers and the stuff fell down over 4,000 meters. Julia was belted up, so it seemed that she was the one who survived the crash. Probably it happened thanks to the tree which cushioned the fall.
Julia woke up next morning and started looking for some plane parts. She was shouting, but nobody could hear her. She found a small plastic bag full of sweets, which fell from the plane. So she ate most of them. Julia felt terrible: her knee was seriously hurt and she saw some deep cuts on her body. What is more, she was barefoot and her clothes were badly torn. Everywhere around the jungle was spreading. The jungle was full of dangerous animals and insects, so Julia decided to escape of the jungle. She was aware of the fact that unless she tried she would die.
So she was walking in the south. She didn't find anything to eat. There were some fruit in the jungle, but she was afraid of poisoning, because she didn't know these specious. After few hours she became weaker and weaker. Some insects bit her. There wasn't any rescue action. Nobody was looking for the crashed plane. She was gazing at the sky to see some helicopters, but they didn't come.
After a few days she found a river. There were some caimans and piranhas in the river, but Julia knew that they rarely attack people. Julia started to drink the water and the she fell asleep. She was so exhausted. She was dreaming of her family and suddenly she woke up in a small wooden hut. While she was sleeping, some natives found here and took to their village. She had a fever and she was ill. They took care of her and rescued her life. The witch man of the village gave her some native medicine. Then they also informed the authorities that they found a girl, so her father came there to take her home.
