I often wonder, what is the meaning of computers to people nowadays. In my opinion computers are not treated simply as devices anymore. For many people it seems impossible to live without them.
Today almost everyone has the own computer or can work with one. Modern companies wouldn't be able to exist and develop without them. It is much better and more beneficial to use computers at some work places. They can memorize an enormous amount of information. They do their work very quickly and they hardly ever make mistakes. All people who look for job in contemporary world, have to know how to work with computers. They must be able to write on one and to look for information in the Internet at least. For this reason all people should have a computer at home.
Nowadays, computers are everywhere. They are indispensable for us. We work with computers, we can pay the bills using them or simply play the games. They even count our money in banks. Actually we have no choice- we are forced to deal with these devices in our lives.
The main disadvantage of the computer is that if there is no current, you may lose the important data and information. There are many viruses, which destroy the main memory system in the computer. The loss of the data may cause many trouble.
There are many movies, which show, how badly the computers may influence our lives. If it happens that computers become responsible for our lives, we may be in serious trouble.
It is well known, that people get addicted to computers. Each year more and more people have this problem. The problem of addictions and of people's dependence on computers makes very interesting theme for the films.
The worst disadvantage of the computer, in my opinion, is that they cannot replace the real person. They have no emotional lives. So they cannot make such good friends as people do.
The first computer was designed by John von Neumann. I think that he didn't imagine, how revolutionary this invention would become. But Stephen Wozniak and Steve Jobs must have been aware of the importance of the computer, when they constructed the first laptop- Apple 1.
We cannot live without computers any more. And it depends on us, if we use it in a good way, or if it will appear dangerous for us.
