Bilbao

Dear Agnieszka
I'm writing to you from Milbao where Tom and I came almost a week ago. We're staying in a small but very nice and cheap boarding house. We've got a spacious room with a terrace overlooking the sea. They serve here delicious home-made food which I absolutely love. I'm eating so much that I've already put on 3 kilos!
The following day after our arrival, I went with Tom to visit the old harbour. It is beautifl and many ships of historical values are anchored there. One of the ships, called "The Maiden of Seas" is a museum and I visited with Tom its interior. There is a fishing village not far from the barbour. We also visited it and ate smoked salmon and freshly baked cake at a traditional tavern. Tom really enjoyed our visit to the village and now he keeps saying that he'll become a fisherman when he grows up. When we were there, I saw some beautiful handicraft made by the local artist and I liked it so much that I bought few things as souvenirs. I also have something for you-hope you'll like it as much as i do.
The weather is great-it's hot and very sunny every day so we're spending most of our time on the beach. Tom made friends with some local and they're playing together every day. While I'm swimming or sunbathing, thy're buliding sand castles and fortresses. I have such beautiful suntan that I look as if I was Spanish- you won't recognize me when I come back.
I notice that people here are very friendly and open and most of them speak English quite well so I have no problems with making myself understood.
Yesterday, Tom and I had an adventure-we went together downtown to do some shopping and we got los. We were wandering around for nearly forty minutes and finally we asked a passer-by to give us directions. Fortunately, he spoke English so he could help us and we finally got to our boarding house.
Tomorrow Adam is coming to join us and we're all staying here for one more week.
I'll give you a call when I'm back in Poland. We must meet for a coffee and I'll show you all the photos that we took here.
