Dear Ania

I am really surprised and worried about your plans to give up university.. I can't believe you're serious. Studying medicine was your dream-you've always wanted to be a surgeon, and now, when you're in the second year, you want to give up? I understand that you're tired studying all days long and that you have no time for any social life but I think studiyng is more important. You're future depends on it! You've always said that good education is the key to success; how do you want to be successful without completing your studies? Have you thought what chances to find a well-paid job you will have? Do you really want to end up as a shop assistant with a salary sufficient to survive but not to really live?

Ania, you can't give up. I understand that you're depressed after having failed the re-sit of your exam but you have another chance-take it! Now you need some rest and relaxation so go for a short trip or meet with your friends. You'll be very welcome at my place; we would spend next weekend together and chille out a bit. When you're relaxed, it will be easier for you to revise for the re-sit of the exam. I'm sure you'll do well!

I hope everything will be ok. Let me know if you feel like dropping in.

Lots of love

Mary
