My grandmother was born in Radocza in 1928. She lived in the countryside so she had to work since the childhood. In school she also had to work hard because the teachers demanded more before the war. She had many friends and a big family. Then the Second World War started. The Germans removed the family from its home. My grandmother had to work on a German farm during the war. She lost contact with many friends. I do not ask her much about it because it is very painful. After the war she stayed in the same village and got married. Later she moved to a new house that my grandfather built. We live in the same house now.
My grandmother likes watching TV and listening to the radio, especially to Program 1. She wants to know what is happening in the world. She also reads many books. I like her very much. She always asks me about the school. When I was younger she looked after me when my parents were at work. She also cooks wonderful dinners. I can learn much about the history from her - she has a very good memory.
