Dear Editor,

I am writing to you to response to the article titled "Student Slaves at Workcamp" which appeared in Friday's edition of "Gazeta Wyborcza". Last summer I went to Great Britain to work in Kirby and I definitely disagree with your opinion of this job.

In this article you have mentioned that over 40 people were working from dawn till dusk every day. But in fact, I have to say that there were about 15 people working just for a few hours each morning. All weekends were completely free.

You have also written that participants sleep there in the open air or in some old tents. What is more, there is just one shower for all these people. I have to deny all these facts. During my stay in Kirby I was accommodated in the modern building and there was a shower in every room.

In Kirby I met a lot of people from different countries such as France, Germany, Sweden and Czech Republic. All these people became my truly fiends.

I would like to confirm that our job was not tiring and the atmosphere created in the working place was really great. Time spending there passed very quickly. All of us were completely satisfied with this job.

I would be very pleased if you print this letter in the next edition of your newspaper to deny all this contradictory information.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Eva Brown
