We all heard of Karowa 18 building. Its architects Kuźmienko and Sembrat, when creating it, had already designed another project - Kozia 9 building.

It's like it purposely tries not to clash with its neighbours, which are historic townhouses. The building emerges from greenery. It's adventure to walk around it and look at it from different points of view. From each side the facility offers new perspectives.

When seen from a park it looks like a gigantic wall of balconies piled up. Each terrace is of extra size and is situated the way which allows residents to have their privacy. The main characteristic of the building is that it increases both horizontally and vertically so its lowest part is three-storey high while its highest segment is seven-storey high.

From the back of the Molier street, the building resembles a bunker. This side is intended for kitchens and utility rooms. The elevation has been divided and piled up. Placing windows at the right angle to the facade enables to light kitchen interiors.

It's a spectacular architecture of the postwar era. It's conveniently located, close to the Old Town, and yet very quiet, evoking a peaceful atmosphere of suburbs. No wonder prices for tenancy are enormous.
